Billy has written some new country-influenced songs, which capture his belief of singing and playing the kind of music he really loves and feels. He plays music with melody and a resonance which will connect immediately with the listener.
In a career, that started in 1964 with his first band - The Shakedown (which featured Jess Roden and Kevyn Gammond - Gammond was destined to be the guitarist with Robert Plant in several pre and post Led Zeppelin bands) Billy has maintained his musical integrity, and built on his experience of gigging and recording with various R & B bands in the 60’s and 70’s.
Having overcome a serious throat cancer, Billy has taken-up songwriting with new vigor, and the current set of songs, reflect his positive attitude to life, and will stay with you long after even one listening.
Now, playing with a band which is totally in sync with his music, Billy is set to reach an audience with ears for a good song and sincere music.
